Welcome to the Lake in the Hills American Legion Post 1231. We are located in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Our Post provides service to the Lake in the Hills and Algonquin area and is the largest American Legion Post in McHenry County, IL.
The American Legion and our Post are dedicated to those that have honorably served their country in the armed forces. We gladly welcome new members to come join in our alliance of kindred spirits.

Our post is active in the community and we consider ourselves one large family. Our post was founded in 1955 and we have been serving the community ever since.
